Title Source Talks Expansion and Other Topics at TLTA Conference
Team members from the nation’s leading independent provider of title insurance, property valuations and settlement services attends Texas title industry conference

Detroit, Michigan - July 19, 2017

Title Source team members CJ Mytych, Tom Baughman, Jason Silva and Kim Thomas travelled to New Orleans in June for the annual Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) Conference and Business Meeting. Title Source was a gold sponsor this year, which provided an opportunity to mingle and network with Texas industry professionals. With Title Source’s nearly 100 Texas-based team members having offices for residential purchase in Dallas and Fort Worth, and a commercial purchase office in Dallas, the opportunity proved to be an important and valuable industry event.

“Title Source had some great interactions at this year’s TLTA Conference,” Title Source Sr. Advisor, Texas Title and Escrow Jason Silva said. “It was great to have the opportunity to converse with our Texas partners and industry professionals.”

Attendees at the conference learned about the many recent and upcoming changes in the industry. The opening general session featured a presentation on emerging technologies such as e-closings, e-notarization and remote notarization. Additionally, The American Land Title Association (ALTA) hosted a session titled “The Path Forward: ALTA’s Strategic Priorities to Advance the Industry,” which spotlighted ALTA’s priorities for 2017, including best practices, home buyer communication, core values, information security, talent focus and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rules.

The event provided Title Source an opportunity to share its recent announcement of the company’s purchase expansion. In June, Title Source announced it added seven new counties to its previous three in Texas. This new marker is in addition to the 18 counties for which it is already licensed for refinance coverage. With the support of its expansive and ever-growing network of valued partners, Title Source’s range extends throughout the remaining 236 counties in Texas.

“In addition to sharing our purchase initiative, this year’s event was also a perfect opportunity to build our current partner network,” Silva said. “The exposure generated through this and other TLTA events is extremely valuable, especially now that we are expanding our footprint.”

Following this year’s conference, TLTA announced the location of its 2018 conference, which will take place June 11 – 13 at The Fairmont in Austin, Texas.
